With Volunteers’ Week being celebrated across the UK from June 1-7, we’d like to take the opportunity to say a big thank you to all our volunteer teams – and we’d like to encourage more people to join us!
Are you community-minded and keen to get involved? We have several roles that may suit your interests if you have a little time to spare:
Community Hub Volunteers
We’d like to increase our pool of people to help run the Community Hub at 4 Fore Street. From selling fresh eggs to taking bookings for the Hopper Bus, it’s a ‘catch all’ role and perfect for someone who likes meeting people, is used to a busy work set-up and can think on their feet.
For more information, email email@example.com, call into 4 Fore Street (open Tue–Sat mornings) or call 01752 848348.
Can you spare the time to help run Volunteering PL12? Do you like chatting to people? As Community Enterprises PL12 is getting busier we need an extra pair of hands or two to help run our Volunteer Service. You’ll be matching enquiries with volunteering opportunities across the town, and helping us encourage more people to spare a little time to support others. This is a great way to make a difference to the hundreds of voluntary organisations in Saltash.
To find out more, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org, call into 4 Fore Street (open Tue–Sat mornings) or talk to us on 01752 848348.
We are extremely grateful to our support staff who give their time to enable us to offer a wide range of community transport services. We are currently seeking a couple more people to volunteer as Passenger Assistants to support our work with Cornwall Council, providing transport to young people with special needs. The role of the Passenger Assistant is to travel with the passenger to ensure their well-being. Full training is given and successful applicants will be subject to a DBS check. This is a daytime role, and your hours will be rostered by agreement.
For more information, please contact Mike Finch on 01752 848348 or 07905 795256, email email@example.com or call into 4 Fore Street (open Tue–Sat mornings).
As our community transport service grows ever more popular we need to increase our pool of volunteer drivers to meet demand. Full training will be provided and successful applicants will be subject to a DBS check.
If you’d like to get involved, please call Mike Finch on 01752 848348 or 07905 795256. Or you can email firstname.lastname@example.org or pop into 4 Fore Street (open Tue–Sat mornings).
