We are delighted to announce that we are now running two local food markets at our community hub at 4 Fore Street.
Building on the popular Friday event, and picking up from the recent closure of the well-loved Crocadon food market, we will now also host a regular Saturday food market. The dates for the food markets are:
· The first Friday of the month (coming up: Friday 7th April)
· The third Saturday of the month (coming up: Saturday 15th April – Easter weekend, so a great chance to fill your larder!)
Open from 10am till 2pm, our Friday and Saturday food markets are the perfect place to pick up locally grown, smoked and baked produce with the added benefit of being able to chat with the stallholders about the foods’ origins.
Produce and traders that have featured in the market recently include: meat from Trehill Farm, near St Dominic; pies, sausages, cheese, yogurt and more from Pomeroy Rare Breeds Farm; sweet treats from Christopher’s House of Chocolates; and locally sourced daffodils, fresh veg, apple juice, fresh fish and simply delicious homemade cakes from ‘the two Sarahs’ – regulars at 4 Fore Street.
If you are interested in booking space to sell your own local produce, please call Rosie on 01752 848348.
