Reaching out to people affected by dementia
Did you know that our base at 4 Fore Street plays host to a Dementia Drop-In Café every Tuesday (10am-2pm)?
If you are affected by dementia then why not call in for a cup of tea and a slice of cake, and chat to someone who can help with information about assistance and activities available locally.
Dementia Voice PL12 is an advocate organisation working hard to make Saltash recognisable as a Dementia Friendly Community. Amazingly, after less than two years they were shortlisted by the Alzheimer’s Society for a national award in the category of Dementia Friendly Town.
Dementia Voice PL12 has also just received funding from Greenwich Hospital, London to start up a similar café specifically for Armed Forces veterans. This came through their association with Greenwich Place in Glebe Avenue – watch this space for more information or ring 01752 848348.
