Open to everyone for information and Hopper bookings, 4 Fore Street is home to a community market and our fresh fruit and veg stall from Thursday to Saturday (9.00am – 3.00pm), as well as a Local Food Market on the first Friday and third Saturday each month. The community hub is closed on Sunday and Mondays.
Special events are sometimes held, such as ‘Youth Days’ and ‘Charity Days’. Even Santa Claus made a seasonal appearance in his grotto during the Saltash Christmas Lights shopping event.
The shop and facilities are also available to hire outside of normal trading hours and the space is ideal for evening classes, exhibitions or training sessions – and we have free wifi!
Look out for our Dementia Cafe, open on Tuesdays from 10am – 1pm, and a Saturday afternoon Veterans Group (alternative Saturdays. 4.30pm – 6.30pm)
No 4 Fore Street had previously been empty for around 25 years and was a very unwelcome landmark as you came off the bridge.
Our vision was to transform the eyesore, create a community information hub and to provide a low-cost opportunity for entrepreneurs to test out business ideas, local producers to sell their goods, and craftspeople to showcase their talents. It regularly fills up (8 tables are bookable). Stalls can be booked for up to a month ahead for a very small daily rate (between £3 and £5). Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays are particularly popular.
