The Saltash Hoppers is a new social group, made up of people who mostly live alone and have transport difficulties. They use the community bus, the Saltash Hopper, for outings to places which are difficult to reach by public transport. The bus is equipped with a tail-lift and can accommodate two wheelchairs.
The Hoppers have already planned events to the end of this year and invite others to join them. The next outing is on Wednesday 8th October to Tavistock Goose Fair, leaving at 10am from the Leisure Centre. It costs just £6.50 and is sure to be a good day out. In November the group will visit the Weary Friar and in December the Whitsand Bay Hotel (both lunch-time).
Drop in to 4 Fore Street or call 01752 848348 for more information. All seats must be booked and paid for in advance.
