On Tuesday 4th April, our Drop-in Café for people affected by dementia will reach its first birthday. Come along to help us celebrate this landmark with a piece of cake and a cup of tea or coffee!
We open the doors of 4 Fore Street for the Drop-in Café session every Tuesday from 10am–1pm and welcome anyone who pops in for a chat.
Dementia Voice PL12 has grown from strength to strength and is now part of Community Enterprises PL12. There is plenty of scope to get involved in the project and support our community.
Here are two easy ways you can help:
• Become a Dementia Friend. Calling all businesses, groups and other organisations! It’s easy to enrol and to take the first step to becoming more aware of the needs of those living with dementia. This is a national initiative that we are delivering in Saltash. See the Dementia Friends website for more information.
• Spread the word. We now host TWO social groups for people affected by dementia. These are our Tuesday Drop-in Café (10am–1pm) and our new Saturday morning Veterans Group (fortnightly from 4.30pm–6.30pm). We promise friendly faces and delicious cake! – kindly donated by St. Anne’s care home.
Let’s help make Saltash a Dementia Friendly community to be proud of. For more information, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01752 848348.
